Brandon Marshall To Miami? No Really!

Brandon Marshall has been talked about for a very long time.  Now, with a week until the 2010 NFL Draft, rumors apparently are running wild about him joining the Miami DolphinsNo, really.

According to Greg Cote of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins are very interested in landing the oft troubled WR but don’t want to pay anything more than a 2nd round pick.  If that were the case, has Miami worked out another deal somewhere to recoup that pick if it is traded away?

Let’s face it, these Miami Dolphin managers do nothing without staying a step ahead.  Could they have something in the works to move Ronnie Brown?  Tyler Thigpen?  or Ted Ginn?  How about all 3?

Time will tell but this juicy rumor will surely get the fans worked up for something quick.  Brandon Marshall would give Chad Henne one helluva good target.  Keep your ears open on this one…maybe it actually has some merit.

Please Tuna don’t pass up Brandon. This could put our offense in the top five with him. I would like to see them get CJ in the first round. Trade Ronnie Brown and then go after defensive players. Now that would be an offense. Ricky and CJ in the backfield with a great receiver.

phins dont f this up give your 2nd and one of the 3 6th for him he will be worth it

I’d trade for Marshall and still draft Dez in the 1st round. Then we will be set for WR for years with all the good slot receivers we have as well. Similar to last year when we sorted out our biggest need at CB for the next few years with Davis and Smith. And then see if we can land some talent on defense in the later rounds

Well, i hope we are able to get B. Marshall, but considering our last 2 hopefuls FA safeties that signed somewhere else….I am nor ready to rise my expectations on the possible results of this. My positive side says they’ll make it happen, my negative side says we’ll get outbid by the Seahawks (with their 60th overall pick), because the trifecta will only offer a 3rd. Its a wait and see… again

Boooo!!! What crap. We go and spend a 2nd Round pick on a whiny baby receiver that acted like a immature kid last season in the Bronco’s traning camp because he didn’t get his way. We should have used the pick in the draft. Now we have another troubled player on the squad that needs baby sitting and won’t meet his potential. I hope we trade him away in a deal somewhere else…

I though Chris Chambers had the caliber to be a Top 5 WR but we ended up trading him away like dummies. The only reason Marshall did that good was because he realized he had to raise his game to raise his stock on the trading block. Otherwise, I’m sure he would have sat out the rest of the season.

Boy, some of these negative posts about the Marshall trade here show absolute proof that you cannot please everybody. I like the trade here because we now can focus on defense(unless we get Spiller which is fine by me). This was not about keeping up with any team but to improve your team. I really hope they keep Ginn to have an added vertical threat. If the Dolphins didn’t pull the trigger you’d have disgruntled fans all over this blog. Good move by the Tuna. Now lets bolster that defense!!!!!!
