We are now just a little more than a hour away from the Rams officially on the clock. Rumors are flying. Supposedly Miami and Philadelphia are talking about a trade if Earl Thomas is there. Supposedly Miami and Dallas are doing the same. There have also been reports of another team (not sure who) looking to get up to the #12. I think Miami will have a partner just a matter of who it is. Ideally they would like to drop back into the 20’s and pick up multiple picks including a second round pick.
There has been a lot of chatter over the last 24 hours that Jerry Hughes is the Dolphins pick at #12 or in the twenties. If that is the case I think many Fin fans will be very happy. Hughes is one of if not the best pure pass rusher in the draft and at 6’2”, 252 pounds he fits the prototype that the Trifecta convent. If they are able to make a trade back into the 20’s don’t be shocked if they don’t move again out of rounds one all together. There are going to be many teams looking to move up from early second round into the late first and the Trifecta gave away picks for Marshall so now they will try to get them back.
