Writer Submission: Number 4

Today we will be posting 2 articles.  I have received quite a few over the last two days.  Apparently reading some of the submissions have sparked the desire for others to do the same.

I will be keeping to my 3 week timetable so we will roll out two articles a day as much as possible but spread apart fairly decently.  Tonight’s article will run until around 2 PM but you can vote for the article for 5 days.  Hope you enjoy our next submission.

I am a long time Dolphin fan, even from day one when Joe Auer ran back that kick off all the way back for a touchdown. How excited we fans were. What is that now, going on 45 years (1966 – 2010). I can bring that historical perspective, I’ve been there through it all, from the beginning days of a brand new franchise, and the glory days of Shula’s undefeated 1972 team, the Marino years, even to today. It has been a great ride, following one of America’s truly great teams. I am and will always be a Dolphin fan.

Now with all this rich history, the Fins have something to believe in — tradition, especially a winning tradition. The Dolphins can always point to those who did it before, and inspire the young players of today. Griese, Csonka, Warfield, Anderson, Scott, Marino, Duper, Clayton, Thomas, Taylor, and today we believe new winners will produce and live up to that great winning tradition. Winners are believers, and believers believe they can do it too, just like the great players that went before them.

Parcells, and Sparano, maybe they are going to be winners too like Shula. Time will tell, but indeed they are off to a good start. This third year of the Parcells and Sparano era will be the make it or break it year. What will they do? Will they too be winners? I think you know by now where I stand, I am a homer indeed, I believe, how about you?

Should Joe Philbin bench Ryan Tannehill
