Beasts Of The East

As you already know, Fan Sided Network is compiling the best of each NFL division in an attempt to find the best division in the NFL.  Each division writer is working with the others within that division to compile a list of players that they think will form the best “All-Star Team” from that division.

Jamie Pacheco of Musket Fire, Marc Greenberg of The Jet Press, and Kyle Giunta of Buffalowdown, and of course myself have been bantering back and forth over the last few days to secure our defensive line and our line-backing core.  So far so good and no need for polls as we have all been in agreement.  That may not be the case moving into the secondary.  So if need be, I will let you know when you need to head to Musket Fire to cast your vote.

With all that being said, here are the “Beasts of the East” so far:

Defensive Line:

DE:  Randy Starks – Miami

NT:  Vince Wilfork – NE

DE: Shaun Ellis – NY

LB’s:

Inside:  Karlos Dansby – Miami, David Harris - NY

Outside:  Aaron Schobel – Buffalo, Calvin Pace – NY –  Sorry JT!

We are running a 3-4.  Next up is the CB’s and we will have 2 safeties, 2 corners, and a nickel.

I like Jerod Mayo over Karlos Dansby

Well, the Patriot writer didn’t put his name up. Dansby has had more success thus far while Mayo is still young…I’m sure in another year or two Mayo would likely be that guy, but then again, Dansby may become bigger as well.

Hi it’s Jamie from Musket Fire:

I talked about Mayo in my write-up about the linebackers. I would have pushed for him if not for his age and he missed some time last season due to a knee injury, which slowed his production.
