Jason LaCanfora said yesterday that Miami Dolphins DE Jared Odrick had broken his right fibula and would miss the next 6 weeks. Armando Salguero said on the Miami Herald that Odrick would miss two weeks with a “hairline fracture” of the right fibula. So who’s right?
Well, this morning Jeff Darlington has come out and said that LaCanfora’s report was wrong and Salguero’s was right. So has Omar Kelly from the Sun-Sentinel.
Later in the day, ESPN’s Adam Schefter took up on the side of Salguero.
The good news out of all of this is Jared Odrick may not be out as long as we all thought.
IN other Phins news, the Dolphins are working out Adalius Thomas. Thomas was with NE last year and about the only team that gave him a look was the NY Jets who still have not made a decision. With the addition of Erik Walden yesterday I wonder if there is concern regarding the injury to Channing Crowder. No one seems to know exactly what it is and the Dolphins could be getting tired of waiting. Just a thought.
So Bill Parcells appears to be sticking it out with the Dolphins as a consultant at least through this season and into the off-season. An interesting report from the Miami Herald spells out some info on why BP left now yet stuck around. Oddly enough, as I have said over and over again, Carl Petersons name was brought up.
