I’m sure you have all seen “Iron Chef” and heard Alton Brown say the words, “Who’s cuisine will reign supreme“, right? Well, either way, the question as it pertains to the Dolphins vs. the Jets Sunday night, is “who’s brain will reign supreme”? See aside from all the defense vs. offense match-ups and the NFL Total Access breakdown, and everything else, the two head coaches tend to play a little bit of brain picking of their own, upping the chess match just a notch more.
This week, the New York Jets elevated former Miami Dolphins WR Patrik Turner from the practice squad due to some injuries and you can bet that Rex Ryan has been picking the brain of Turner since he was signed after being picked up off waivers way back in early September. Well, today the Phins decided to pick up offensive tackle, Patrick Brown.
Brown was released by the Jets earlier this week when they made room for Turner. The Dolphins need some depth and will give him a shot…but is this a legitimate depth move or simply a way to pick the brain of a NY Jet only a day before the two teams square off?
For more on this take a stroll over to the Sun-Sentinel and see what they think Brown may bring to the brain table.
So what can the Dolphins learn from this pick-up and will Brown be on the roster next week? Discuss this and more in our Miami Dolphins on-site forum.
