Every now and then we get some info on a few things that I find our readers may enjoy knowing about.  Sometimes they don’t care and sometimes they do.  Rarely will I simply post some sort of advertising here unless it is something that relates to you, the readers of this site.  So with that being said, here are a few things that you may find very very interesting.

Direct TV Mobile Sunday Ticket – If you have Direct TV’s Sunday NFL Ticket package you don’t want to be without this.  Why?  Simple, you paid over 300 bucks for the games why not spend an additional 9.99 a month and take it with you?  By using the Direct TV mobile app available for your Apple product or your Droid, you can watch the games like you do at home while your on the road.

This is especially cool when you have to go out of town and visit family who don’t have all the games, or they don’t have yours.  Simply get a WIFI connection and your gold.  Oh, and if you have an iPad along with the RBG cables to connect to your TV, you can watch the games streamed to your “Pad” on the TV as if you were at home.  This is a must have product.  I personally have had it for 2 years now and not only do I use when I’m away from home, but I will admit to watching it in addition to my Sunday Ticket…in other words, I watch two good games at once!  Oh, and just so you know, if you don’t have a mobile product, this can also be used on a home computer that supports live streaming.  Check with DirectTv.com for details.

Sports Bar Application – Sticking to the Direct TV theme here for a moment, I get a ton of Emails each year asking where a reader can watch a Dolphins game while out of town.  In other words, where is a sports bar to watch a game in Podunk, ND while I’m up there visiting family.  Well, no worries anymore.  The new DTV Sports Bar application will use your i-product or droid GPS to locate all surrounding establishments that carry Sunday NFL Ticket so now you won’t ever have to come the phone book and make a ton of calls to find one.  Just use the app!  Look it up on your products application menu by searching “Sports Bar Finder”.  It will be the one that looks like the image to the right and says Sunday NFL Ticket locations.
