Job Description:

  • The Miami Dolphins are searching for a Special Team Coach who has the ability to teach our players the importance of this aspect of the game.  Must understand how to teach and motivate our players to transfer their knowledge into game day ability.

Ideal Candidate must have:

  • NFL game experience, either by playing in the NFL or have coached in the NFL
  • Understand the different schemas that will be presented during a game
  • Able to motivate a team
  • Understanding the intricacies of blocking
  • Able to teach players different blocking assignments
  • Derive new teaching methods on how to tackle on opposing kickoff and punt returns
  • Capable of implementing new blocking schemes which will be used in order to derive more yardage from returners
  • Competent enough to recognize that when their existing methodology is not working, new features need to be added

    Is it me, or was Bobby Carpenter at the center of almost everything that went wrong defensively or on special teams last night?? Can someone w/ video access put the stats on that? I think it’s a high percentage – that guy is terrible and should not have been on the field last night.
