The Miami Dolphins apparently saw enough of Bobby CARPenter and have thrown in back into the street free agent pool. Carpenter was brought in after failing to stick on the Rams following training camp and contributed heavily on special teams. Specifically in allowing 2 blocked punts, a tipped punt, and a few missed tackles. The Phins had enough. After canning ST coach John Bonamego two weeks ago and Erik Walden three weeks ago for missing a block, the tipped Fields punt in Green Bay was the final straw.
The Dolphins didn’t lose much in the release.
In other news, it was reported at half-time of last nights Monday Night Football telecast that Bill Parcells has vacated his office and the training facility. The move was expected to take place eventually but the timing of his fickle decisions lately are questionable. Parcells handed over power to Jeff Ireland 4 days prior to the seasons start, then was seen riding his golf cart around the practices as normal. Now, 5 games into the season he bolts the headquarters completely.
Jeff Ireland is now distinctively on his own.
