Progress or Improvement?

As many of you saw this past Sunday, we were able to successfully play all facets of the game.  We went back to the basic and ran the ball to our “studs.’  Ricky and Ronnie combined for over 130 yards.
By running the ball, we were able to open up the field.  Brandon Marshall was himself, putting up 10 catches for over 120 yards, beastly.  This could have turned into a 150yrd 1TD performance, if he was able to conduct the ‘toe drag.’

Special Teams was, special.  Opening up holes in the return game and closing those holes in the coverage.  We were able to successfully conduct all FGs, without a block….that’s progress.  Referencing one of my favourite movies, ‘What about Bob’, baby Steps people…

Progress in Football is achieved by correcting your flaws and ensuring that the same mistake does not happen again.  In my eyes, there was progress in certain aspects of our game, but our entire picture still remains a work in progress.

It is neither progress or improvement. It was a re-awakening and reaffirmation of where we were before we decided to give the COPYCAT FANS what they wanted!

Obviously Henning is feeling the heat and made the mistake of trying to appease idiots!

We lost two games trying to be Indy and the Saints!

This game we re-dedicated ourselves to running the football, winning the battle at the LOS and forcing the Packers to stay in and commit to the box so we could make those throws to Marshall, Bess and Fasano.

It was the running game (and admittedly some injuries to GB) that kept the DL off of Henne most of the day and gave him time to throw the ball.

If we continue to do that we can beat anyone because if they take Marshall away we will run on them and if they take the run away, Marshall will get the big play!

Thats the recipie for success. It is not a perfrcted recipie yet but if we stay the course and continue to do what we do best we will smashmouth our way to the playoffs!

Then everyone else’s fans can hassle their OC for not copycatting us!

The Dolphins still are committed to the running game.
Ricky with 4.9 yards per carry and only 13 attempts
Ricky and Ronnie should have 20 carries each. POOR PLAY CALLING
The Dolphins win the toss in OT and go 3 and out on 3 straight pass plays. POOR PLAY CALLING
We need to be committed to the run which will improve the passing game. We are not currently committed to the run.

Congrats to the Dolphins in a big win. Now kick Henning in the A** and start running the ball when it counts.

First and goal against the jets and we throw 4 straight incomplete passes with Ricky and Ronnie watching. That’s not committed to running, that’s poor play calling.
