From a report this afternoon by ESPN, it has been reported that the Minnesota Vikings” href=”http://thevikingage.com/” target=”_blank”>Minnesota Vikings have waived prime time wide-receiver Randy Moss after acquiring him just two weeks ago from the New England Patriots” href=”http://musketfire.com/” target=”_blank”>New England Patriots. Reports have been vague of exactly why he was waived however, noting that his post-game actions were of consequence. According to Trey Wingo of ESPN, Moss will be put on waivers but will be paid in full by the Vikings if he is not picked up. If he is picked up, his new team will pay the balance of the contract. Now here’s the big question; should the Miami Dolphins pick up Randy Moss to compliment Brandon Marshall? Hell Yes!
Update: Is it shocking to anyone that former Dolphins GM and all around nincompoop, Rick Spielman is the one who just sent a 3rd rounder to the Patriots (a team who already has entirely too many picks) and then turned around and released Randy Moss? If there’s one calling card for Spielman, it’s the ability to hurt the Dolphins. We’ll keep you posted as more news comes in.
