Changing My Name

Well folks, it’s been a long long time since I first signed on to a forum some 10 years ago, logged in the name TxMedic5 and gained a lot of friends.  A lot of people have asked what the name stood for.  The obvious, I am a certified paramedic from the state of Texas.  The 5?  1, 2, 3, and 4 were taken.  Simple as that.

Over the years I have written articles that have appeared in the NY Times, quoted in Sports Illustrated, made it into the Washington Post as well as the Miami Dolphins game day program.  Somehow, all these years writing here and I never realized that my name, as it appears by each and every one of my posts, says, “Txmedic5″.  Today, that will change as I begin the next 5 years simply as Brian Miller.

So for those of you who only know me as Tx…feel free to keep calling me that.  But this way you will at least know that when you read an article by Brian Miller, it used to say Txmedic5.

Thanks guys, It’s funny as I tell all the lead writers across this network to use their real names that no one will ever take you 100 percent seriously when they have to quote “Jbeezy101″ from a website…and here I have been doing it for 5 years and not even realized it…LOL
