The Steelers, who currently hold the other AFC wildcard spot, have a mediocre schedule ahead of them with only 2 tough games against the Jets and the Ravens. The Ravens, on the other hand, have to face the emerging Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New Orleans Saints and the Steelers again. I’m not confident that either team will manage a losing streak to drop out of their playoff spots. The Colts should be able to take back their playoff spot from the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC South who should sink to the bottom of the list after upcoming games against the New York Giants, Oakland, Tennessee, the Washington Redskins and once more against the Colts.
It might be early in the season to have playoff conversations. The NFL this year, especially the AFC, is extremely competitive and it’ll be a fight to the finish. The Dolphins, with all their player injuries and coaching questions, must remain stout on their goal of reaching the playoffs. This Sunday’s game in Oakland could potentially make or break their stride.
