UPDATE: Brandon Marshall is officially listed as out. He did not make the trip to Oakland with the team.
The Miami Dolphins have not yet announced who will be behind the center for the Raiders game on Sunday, but indications remain that Chad Henne will be back in that role. What is even less clear is whether or not Henne will be able to audible out of the plays called in by Dan Henning. Something that according to Ricky Williams, he has not been allowed to do. Tyler Thigpen was able to audible in his one start last week against Chicago. Chad Pennington was also allowed to audible.
For the Raiders, Bruce Gradkowski will get the starting nod over Jason Campbell. Campbell is more mobile than BG but Gradkowski has a better grasp of the offense. Jacoby Ford, the Raider’s speedy WR will benefit from BG in the lineup.
IN other news that is only somewhat related to the Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills today put recently acquired LB Shawne Merriman on IR with an Achilles injury. Merriman has been trying to nurse back from a rupture sustained last year but has yet to be able to get back on the field. The Dolphins had put in a claim for Merriman but were denied when Buffalo took him.
