Ryan Mallet Thrilled With Miami Dolphins Workout

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/ Apparently Ryan Mallet was thrilled with his performance and efforts working with the Miami Dolphins.  He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Dolphins duo (Ireland and Tony) on the opportunity to present his skills to the team.

Here is something I didn’t know about Mallet, he played behind Henne during Henne’s tenure at Michigan.  This makes me believe, that if we do draft Ryan, that these two QB’s can work together.

If they think he is a Franchise QB then pick him at 15, if they do not think that he is then do not pick him at all. The draft position should have no bearing on him being drafted or not. Baltimore over drafted Flacco and that worked out pretty well. Tampa Bay overdrafted Freeman and that worked out pretty well. If they truly have a conviction on a QB you take him at 15 becasue someone might over draft him at 16 and you lose out on him. Other positions you can wait on but not QB.

That’s a great point my friend, and truth be told we don’t know how the draft will unfold. I am a tired of us selecting 2nd round QB that don’t work, why not try a first round investment and see what happens

We probably told him were gonna try and take in the first and gave him a draft hat. Nobody gets that excited over a workout. We wouldn’t lie to a kid like that to create a smokescreen. This is for real and I’m very happy about it.

MJ – see Earl Thomas last year.

Miami Dolphins should stick with Chad Henne, Mel Kiper says
    by: Mike Berardino April 6th, 2011 | 12:43 PM
Should the Miami Dolphins take a quarterback such as Arkansas’ Ryan Mallett at No. 15 overall in the upcoming NFL Draft?
No way, says ESPN draftnik Mel Kiper Jr., citing the need for patience with Chad Henne.
“I think that’s high,” Kiper said on a national conference call. “I just think you have to decide on Henne.”

  • MJ

Yo bahamas Earl Thomas was taken way before our pick.

    • Ian

Earl Thomas was taken after our original first pick. The Phins could have drafted him but decided to trade down. Our trade down first round pick was after Seattle. Don’t even get me started on this…imagine how good our team would’ve been with Thomas instead of Odrick and Misi last year.

  • MJ

BTW Kiper never liked Henne so I find it funny why he would tell us stick with him when he just ripped him a week ago.

Mallett in 2nd round? He won’t be there at 15. 10 private team tryouts folks. Maybe these teams don’t believe all the rumors after all. He’ll go 12 to the Vikes.
