The Hall of Fame Game is being cancelled and only just now has the Miami Dolphins
management signed the new collective bargaining agreement but basically, NFL Football is back. As I predicted in my last article from 4 days ago. Call me the Guru of the Gridiron.
Yes, there is the issue of re-certifying the NFL Players Union as discussed in the previous article by the Great One, Brian Miller. And you can read about it.
But honestly, think anybody is going to be allowed to stand in the way at this point?
I submit to you that the players will be back in camp and will indeed sign their NFL PA cards from each camp by Friday next or possibly sooner. From here it will be like a waterfall of news and NFL Football deals.
The Dolphins must now act very fast to secure and sign free agent players. Nearly every NFL team at this point is short of players to actually hold and run training camps. So there will be a flurry of competition, phone calls and signings. Think the scene from Jerry Maguire where the agent is trying to reach all of his clients on the phone while his former boss is simultaneously stealing them away. Fast and furious and if we’re lucky, Jeff Ireland will not be sleeping for about a week.
You can expect the next week to be very, very busy so stay tuned to phinphanatic.com for the fast-breaking news and reports on free agent signings by the Dolphins and other news as it rolls in!
