It’s middle of the afternoon and the talk around Miami has quieted down considerably. Mike Pouncey is still unsigned and the rumors of Zach Miller coming to Miami are exactly that…rumors. Seems they were perpetrated by one John Clayton this morning on ESPN as a team who “could” be interested. That was enough to get wayward listeners to run with it.
In keeping with his tradition of squashing rumors rather than breaking news, Armando Salguero said earlier that there is NO truth to the Miller rumor and no truth to the Braylon Edwards talk. So there you have it.
Ronnie Brown may not be unemployed long. The former Dolphins runner is supposed to be meeting with the St. Louis Rams to form a duo with Steven Jackson. The Rams are also said to be interested in former Colt, Joseph Addai. Rams, do yourself a favor, go with Brown.
HC Tony Sparano said today that the hardest thing he has to do since coming to Miami was tell Channing Crowder he was being released. I’m sure it was…seriously. Still, a lot of fans and some in the media wonder aloud how we can replace him with Kevin Burnett. To which I simply don’t understand. Burnett should be head and shoulders above CC.
