Almost Gametime!

Hey guys. As we all know, the Dolphins will be facing their arch-rivals tonight, in the form of the New York Jets. I have pretty much hopped onboard the Suck for Luck campaign at this point in the season, but to me there is no greater satisfaction than watching the Jets lose to the Dolphins, especially coming off a few losses and the Dolphins playing a) as bad as they have so far and b) with a backup quarterback. So rest assured that I will be giving my all in hoping the Dolphins clean up the Jets in New York.

On that note, I just wanted to let everybody know that I will be attending the game this evening. (free tickets baby!) I have lived in the Northeast my entire life, not close enough to Foxboro to make that a worthwhile trip, and never a Jets season-ticket holder, so those games were usually impossible for me to get to. This will only be the second time I’ve seen a Dolphins game live (first time was against the Giants a few years back) and I am very excited. I would love to watch the entire stadium deflate if the Jets lose this game.

I will be returning with some “expert” (ha!) analysis that I otherwise wouldn’t have on either Tuesday or Wednesday, so stay tuned for that. I hope you all enjoy the game, and hopefully the Dolphins can pull something out tonight!

I live in the northeast as well. (New Hampshire) Sometimes it sucks being surrounded by nothing but pats and jets fans- but it gets fun every once in a while. I actually was at the Jets-Dolphins game a few years ago when the phins beat the Jets to go to the playoffs. It was intense when we won! The place was going crazy! We then got blown out in the playoffs to the Ravens. But that is besides the fact. Anyway have fun at the game and get in the Jets faces the entire game!

This season is gone. I am sorry for Brian, who has done a great job setting up a really professional web site. But the bottom line is, when the product you are selling is so bad even the players wives cannot watch these games with endangering their mental health…. I remember a few years ago on the Herald Phins chat room you could start a post and generate close to 100 responses. Today… 4 people listening, and one of them is a Florida-bound Pats fan. The last chance the Phins had to be relevant was with Nick Saban. There has to be two sides to the story of why he left — we certainly never will get his side in the local media. The guy could coach, and he beat Belichick once in a while, and he proved he is one of the top coaches in football with a national championship in his second year at Bama. It is possible Saban looked at the bottom of the rotten franchise foundation, which looks great from afar, the Shula winning tradition, and decided this ain’t for me. The media was sticking it into Saban pretty early in his second season. I read more than one item, quoting an anonymous source about him ordering Dolphin staff not to talk to him in the corridor, etc. Really? Or maybe he knew he wasn’t going to have a decent team after passing on Brees and taking the retread from the Vikings as QB. Look around the league, if you don’t have an elite QB, and the Phins are in a division where, right now, the Bills and Pats are way ahead, with Sanchez not elite, and your QBs probably near the worst in the league. I was hoping your guys would make it interesting with the Jets, but they folded once they got behind. No heart. No guts. No talent,.
