Dolphins' Ross Seeks Advise From Eric Mangini?

It’s bad enough that the team on the field is stinking up the joint now word is that the teams owner who is already becoming loathed by fans is seeking wisdom, guidance, or whatever you want to call it from...Eric Mangini?  Seriously?  I mean can this joke of a season get any worse?  According to Armando Salguero there is no chance that Mangini will join the team as a coach this year or for next but the fact that, if true, Ross is talking with this never was and never will be makes me cringe.

Carl Peterson I understand.  Like him or hate him the man has been in the jungle and knows the intricacies of the NFL but Eric Mangini is best known as the whistle blower in the SpyGate drama.  A former coach of Bill Belichick who left the roost too soon much to the ire of Billy boy.  Mangini was lifeless in New York and was lifeless in Cleveland.  It really begs the question what kind of mental state Stephen Ross is in.  I tend to defend him as a novice owner trying to find his way and make the team better, but this is just mystifying to me.

Maybe Mangini has told Ross to keeep Sparano on to assure the #1 draft pick for next year.

Luck is going to Indi….Miami will probably win two games this year. would have to settle on another QB prospect.

@Lespaul Agree that Indy will probably have the first pick. They have a tough schedule and are banged up pretty bad. I saw last weeks game and it sure looked like they didn’t mind losing, if you know what I mean.

Miami will win 1 , maybe 2. They should have a top 3 pick. This should be the draft we get our franchise QB. Everyone is touting Luck, but there are other good choices. IMO, the 2012 class of QB’s will be better than 2011.

Yeah, as far as I tell Mangini was/is a better coach than Sparano. Nothing wrong with turning over every “acorn” as the bifecta loves to point out. If I’m looking for a new HC, I’m certainly gonna do my homework and talk to as many people/references as possible.

I also saw on NFL Live and Mangini denied having any contact with Ross since before the season, for what it’s worth.

@fins4ever@Lespaul Since Luck is the consensus favorite, if he’s not there by our pick, do we still go with another QB like Robert Griffin from Baylor, or get a playmaking stud like Justin Blackmon from Oklahoma State? Our needs go way past QB, and outside of Griffin and Luck (who I’m not really sold on yet), I’m not sold on anyone else, Landry Jones included.
