The NFL owes us an Apology

As I sat in my living room watching the Miami Dolphins humiliate the Oakland Raiders, I couldn’t help but wonder, where in the (BLEEP) was this the first 7 weeks of the season?  With my mind swimming, I thought, it has to be Tony Sparano’s fault.  We all know when a team loses like the Dolphins did the first half of the season it’s coaching, right?  But as I thought about it, I thought, how is it the coaches’ fault when the players come into camp out of shape?  Or maybe it’s the owners fault for locking everyone out.  And that’s when it hit me the NFL owes the fans an apology for this season!

I’m not saying it’s the players, owners or coaches fault but every single one of them need to say “I’m sorry” to every man women and child for this season! They also need to thank their lucky stars that we, the fans, didn’t walk out on them.

I agree with your comments regarding the players responsibility or lack thereof. I’ve been feeling these feelings you’ve written about since the season started. There have been so many physical injuries that should never have occurred. It is the players responsibility to be in shape. But, in spite of everything these Dolphins have been through, they finally stepped up and took the W by the reins! Go Dolphins! (btw it’s Peyton not Payton)
