Super Bowl Thoughts

Just a couple quickie thoughts before the game begins.

I think it is in Dolphin Fans best interest to root for Eli Manning to win another one.  With signs pointing to Peyton Manning being released, I think the competitive nature of Peyton will drive him to do everything possible to not be the second best Manning.  He will want to pick the best team, and out of the teams supposedly interested, the Jets and the Dolphins are better set up to win with an elite Quarterback.

Aside from the Manning Theory, isn’t always nice to ask a Patriot fan how his Chowder tastes coming back up?

New York seems to me to be built with facing an elite Quarterback in mind.  The best way to go about beating Tom Brady is to pressure him with just your front four, leaving seven defenders to cover pass routes.

Will Eli step up his game again?  New England’s defense is, well, putrid is one word I would use.  If Eli can limit mistakes, and the Giants can establish a running game, the Giants offense will roll.

How far has Gronk’s ankle come in the two weeks he has had to rehabilitate it?  He is officially active for the game, and if he is able to go full speed, he adds an extra dimension to the New England Offense that is incredibly difficult to deal with.

Will Bill Belichick try and establish the running game to slow down NY’s pass rush?  This is my X-Factor in the game.  120+ yards rushing for the Pats, and New England wins.

I’m thinking Like a Prayer, Express Yourself and some putrid new song for Madonna’s set.

Final Prediction, Giants 38-28
