Running Up To The Minute Free Agent News

We will continue our free agency coverage throughout the evening here as well as from 8 to 10 on FinsRadio.net. Information on that show will come later this afternoon/evening. DOLPHINS – Reports are that Miami is negotiating with Matt Flynn…competing with the Browns.
Peyton Manning – Word now is that the previous cancellation was a lie and that Manning has narrowed his choices to Denver and Tennessee.
Vincent Jackson – Jackson has signed with the Tampa Bay Bucs according to “The Pewter Plank”.
Redskins – The Skins have signed WR Eddie Royal, one of the lowest producing WR’s in the league last year. They also re-signed dlineman Adam Carraker. His deal is worth 20 mill with 7 mill guaranteed. He was ranked one of the lowest defensive lineman in the NFL.
Peyton Manning – According to several sources, Manning cancelled his meeting in NC with the Tennessee Titans leading many to believe he is close to a decision.
Eric Winston – Winston announced a sports radio show that he was headed to Miami (for a visit)
Matt Flynn – Two team race, Cleveland out. Seattle and Miami. Chad Henne will meet with Seattle.
Josh Morgan – Reports are that WR Morgan is close to signing with the Redskins.
Vincent Jackson – Jackson is close to signing a deal with the Tampa Bay Buc’s.
Chad Henne – Former Miami Dolphins QB will meet first with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Pierre Garcon – Via “Twitter”, Pierre Garcon announced he will sign with the Redskins.
DOLPHINS – Armando Salguero just “Tweeted” this: Texted team source and asked, “What’s going on with Marshall move?” Response: “Be patient. You’ll see.” So I guess we’ll see.
DOLPHINS – Jeff Darlington says FA OG Eric Winston will meet with Miami!
DOLPHINS – Paul Soliai has been contacted by Denver.
Pierre Garcon – Talking with Rams and Redskins
Mario Williams – Williams will visit with the Buffalo Bills
DOLPHINS – Phillip Merling has re-signed for just over a million. The contract is not guaranteed. The Dolphins also retain Austin Spitler and TE Jerod Mastrud.
DOLPHINS – Have re-signed OT Lydon Murtha to a one year contract worth under just 2 million dollars. The Dolphins needed to keep depth and Murtha is a player who if can stay healthy could press for starting time.
Dolphins News: The Dolphins declined to tender restricted free agent running back Lex Hilliard. He will not be free to sign anywhere with no compensation to Miami. A report from a Denver radio station stated that the Manning price-tag is around 70 million for three seasons.
To kick things off a couple of rumors and a signing. First Marques Colston signed a five year 40 million dollar deal to stay with the Saints. The Cowboys cut nine year veteran CB Terence Newman, and a report today says that the New England Patriots may go hard after LB Mario Williams and WR Brandon Lloyd. Lloyd could be the first free agent signed this afternoon.
