It’s surprising to me why Dolphin fans will not give Tebow a chance. The Dolphins would be the perfect place for Tim Tebow to break out of the branding that has been placed on him. Remember this is the same team that took a running back that could not everbe an every down back and run between the tackles, and turned him into just that. Not only did Reggie Bush become that running back, but he broke a 1,000 yard season doing it. All he needed was someone to give him a shot to do it.
Tim Tebow needs to be given that shot. He already has shown skills to read past his first receiver to his 3rd and 4th. He has a very strong arm, is comfortable in the shotgun, and can by time with his legs; everything a west coast quarter back needs to be. The Broncos offensive line had him running for his life, and when they did give him time, he took advantage of it. The Broncos also never gave him the opportunity to run a passing offense, until it was the 4th quarter and in desperation mode. What do we associate Tebow with? 4th quarter comebacks. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that he is comfortable in a quick paced, high powered offense.
Just like Reggie Bush, the Dolphins could give Tebow the shot he needs to become successful. It would be a testament to the Dolphins to have a running back that couldn’t be a running back and a quarterback that couldn’t be a quarterback, and make them into superstars. The Dolphins would become the real life “The Replacements,” a story that reminds football fans that it’s the heart of the team that brings championships.
