You may remember not too long ago, we posted an article about one of our staffers, Chris Leeuw, and his incredible recovery from a horrific incident that left him with a broken neck and severe doubt that he would ever be able to move again, let alone walk. On August 8, 2010, Chris jumped from an abandoned bridge and landed in the water, but somebody jumped too closely behind him and landed on top on him on the water, shattering his C-4 and C-5 vertebrae.
Chris underwent intensive rehabilition and with the support of his family, friends and the Miami Dolphins, Chris has done what many thought was impossible.
On April 28th, Chris joined others with the Christopher Reeves foundation at the Kentucky Derby Festival and walked a mile in his own shoes!
Please join myself and the entire PhinPhanatic staff in congratulating Chris on this incredible accomplishment and all the hard work he put in along the way!
