Ryan Tannehill Could Get The Andy Dalton Treatment

As Training Camp goes on, Ryan Tannehill has been beating all expectations. Ryan Tannehill stated, “I’m in it.” talking about being in the QB competition in Miami. John Congemi from the Finsiders was asked if Tannehill could win the starting job, and his answer was a simple and emphatic, “Yes!” Everyone that has been following the practices have come back from them with a sense Ryan Tannehill really could be that guy.

Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback, earned a Pro Bowl and a Play-off game in his first season. The biggest thing about Dalton, that is never talked about, is he never beat a team with a winning record. He was the creation of an easy schedule. One thing he gained from last season was confidence. The media, his team, and his coaches all have faith in him and believe he will be a great QB. Don’t look for Dalton to have the same success this season, especially the second half of the season.

The reason I bring this up is the Dolphins are in the same boat the Bengals were in last year, maybe even better. If you took the Dolphins schedule and looked at all the teams from last season with a winning record and counted all those as losses, the Dolphins would finish the season at 10-6. Placing Tannehill in the starting position with the schedule the Dolphins have might be the smartest move to make. Multiple people that have come from the Dolphins Training Camp have stated, “I would place Tannehill on the same level as Garrard and Moore.” According to Mike Sherman, Ryan Tannehill will receive reps with the first team, and everyone is speculating that will come this Wednesday, when Tannehill will have his first Training Camp Practice in pads.
