If Chad Johnson is looking for a ticket out of South Florida, his actions may get him what he wants.  Chastised professionally by head coach Joe Philbin following his “f-bomb” laden first press conference as a Dolphin, Johnson has taken an “I don’t do media anymore” approach.  At least to the media.  Apparently, Johnson isn’t quite ready to stop pushing buttons.  Unfortunately they could be the wrong ones.

While Johnson hasn’t spoken to the media, it hasn’t stopped him from sending his own kind of message.  Whether that message is to the Dolphins, Philbin, or just his whimsical sense of humor, it will not likely be met by the team without some form of internal discussion.

Johnson has taken to Twitter to post his opinion.  This time in the form of his new “Twitter” account image, shown below.  The image, two birds and the words “No – ‘f-bomb” with the word “given” scrolled across his chest.  Following the apparent disapproval of coach Philbin, Johnson was advised to tone down the “F-Bomb” usage in interviews, Philbin was asked if Johnson’s future with the team would be at stake if that type of behavior continued.  Philbin answered, “Absolutely”.

Is this enough to push Philbin into making a statement?  You be the judge yourself.  To see the image, please click on to the next page.

I think the NFL prophets would all love to see Johnson fall….thus, boosting their fragile egos and a chest pounding, “I told you so!” So, he dropped a pass and wasn’t targeted much in a pre-season game. Yep, he’s done! Put a fork in him! Child please!!!! He’s a Miami Dolphin now….let’s try supporting the guy. He had a bad day in front of the press….that ate it all up and took it national. That said, and what I”ve been saying since he signed, “let him run his mouth all he wants in the endzone and the ball in his hand.” He’s a very strong personality that is bruised right now, What Philbin did was 100% correct. Now, he needs to bring him in, put his arms around him and tell him, “its ok.” Great leaders have to “tear” down…but they better be ready to pick up some pieces and put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

I’m not concerned with the drop on Friday night. I only question the decision to post the image on his Twitter after his talk with Philbin. Is it CJ just being CJ or is it something else?
