Miami Dolphins Trade Cornerback Vontae Davis to the Indianapolis Colts

According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, the Miami Dolphins have dealt Vontae Davis to the Indianapolis Colts for a 2013 second round pick and a conditional sixth round pick. The second round selection is expected to be high.

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay hinted this past week that a trade was coming, and well here it is.

With the emergence of newly acquired Richard Marshall and starter Sean Smith, General Manager Jeff Ireland and company found some flexibility in making this deal.

Davis was having complications in covering the deep ball and allowing his opponent to have a lot of real estate in this 2012 preseason. The brother of Vernon Davis will experience a different scenery with Andrew Luck and the uprising franchise of the Colts.
