The Miami Dolphins face the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.  The undefeated Arizona Cardinals.  No, this isn’t week two and that wasn’t a mistake.  The team that was supposed to be the doormat of the NFC West is in first place with a hard to stop defensive front.  For now though, we are going to step aside for a minute and talk about some of the news that has made the waves around the NFL in the past few days.

Bill Belichick had his pay docked by the NFL to the sum of $50,000.00 after grabbing a ref following last Sunday night’s game against the Ravens.  Good ole Billy boy wanted an explanation as to why the winning field goal wasn’t reviewed after it sailed not between the crossbars but over the right one.  On Monday following the game, he told media that he would not be fined.  Wrong!  Apparently Bob Kraft doesn’t have the kind of pull most think he does…unless of course Belichick never actually pays the fine.

The NY Jets lost Darrell Revis for the year after trying to put some “hot sauce” on Miami Dolphins’ RB Reggie Bush.  Bush is back at practice, Revis is awaiting surgery on his ACL.

The Refs blew the final call on Monday night.  You probably haven’t heard about that, it was pretty hush-hush.  I won’t go into too many details other than I really didn’t care because the INT that should have been awarded would have swung my fantasy football match-up two points to the other team and I would have lost.  So I say, “Yeah replacement officials!”.  Apparently the play was so strongly condemned that it spurred more face to face talks with the real officials and the NFL.  Culminating in an agreement to return to work today.  Which basically means that in about two weeks, the players and coaches can start complaining about just how bad the real officials are.
