Earlier today SI reported that the Pats have reached a contract extension with Tom Brady.
It is for 3 years for 27 million. By accepting this deal Tom has helped the Patriots off the field as much as on the field. Because of the contract the pats now have a little over 7 million in cap space.
There are many ways the Pats can go after locking up its superstar for 3 more years. Wes Welker rejoining New England doesn’t sound too far fetched anymore. Or Ed Reed could join the Pats, after showing interest in it during the playoffs. But the one thing the Pats need is speed and a deep threat at the WR position. Mike Wallace is that, could Wallace join New England making an explosive almost the best in the league. It may not happen but just a. Possibility.
On a side note there was a report of Philbin not being interest in Greg Jennings. I’m not sure how reliable this source is but it is something to keep an eye on with only two weeks until free agency.
