Seem that while the Dolphins have been adding playmakers to their roster (on paper) the rest of the AFC East have been losing playmakers.  Today, the Jets traded CB Darrelle Revis and his entire “island” to Tampa Bay.  The New England Patriots lost WR Wes Welker in free agency.

Today’s trade takes away a major threat but gives the Jets another first round pick, number 13 in the draft.  One spot behind the Dolphins.  The question now becomes can the Jets and their new GM parlay the added first rounder into a game changer.  The Jets will also receive a 2014 4th rounder with a conditional escalation to a 3rd with reached performance…according to circulating reports.

The Dolphins will still face Revis this season when they visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a primetime game.
