The New England Patriots tight end duo of Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez where the talk of the NFL for the last two seasons. The Patriots are on an unknown timetable for the return of Gronkowski following a shoulder surgery and today, Aaron Hernandez has been arrested in association with the murder of Odin Lloyd.
The charges that Hernandez has been arrested for are not known as the courts have sealed the case. They won’t be known until Hernandez appears in court.
The murder investigation has been played out in the media over the last week since Lloyds body was found in a car that was used by Hernandez and two others along with Lloyd an evening before. Lloyd was shot. The other two associates of Lloyd and Hernandez have not had their names releasaed.
Police have searched the home of Hernandez who a day after Lloyd’s body had been uncovered had a professional cleaning crew come in and clean his entire house. Rumors began to swirl that Heranandez would be arrested on obstruction of justice charges a rumor that yesterday his attorney called false.
The Patriots are not publicly speaking on the issue involving Hernandez nor is the NFL but it’s likely at some point Hernandez will face some form of NFL discipline for any involvement or cover-up he may or may not be involved with.
