Nate Garner To Miss Rest Of Pre-Season

The estimated time to heal is two to three weeks.  The reality is that Nate Garner will not play in any more pre-season games.  If he does, he likely won’t see action until the final weekend and he will most likely be coming off his injury so the Dolphins will probably keep him out.

A team that is being dinged by injuries didn’t need Garner down.  Garner had arthroscopic shoulder surgery today.  A minor procedure but one that comes with a rehabilitation.  The Dolphins are already down John Jerry and Lance Louis.  The unit has been struggling with both pass protection and run blocking.

The upside is that Garner doesn’t need the practice time.  A seasoned veteran who plays all of the positions on the line, his absence won’t hurt the offense or his chances of making the team.  It will however give some of the other players an opportunity to show what they have to offer.  Still the Dolphins should look at the free agent market for another camp body.
