Dolphins' Patterson Headlines Injury Report

The Baltimore Ravens will be in town on Sunday and the Miami Dolphins will not have CB Dimitri Patterson for the third straight week.

Patterson has been battling a groin injury since week one when he opened the season with two interceptions.  Cameron Wake has been upgraded to “questionable” with his nagging knee injury.  He is joined by WR Brandon Gibson (ankle) as questionable.  Paul Soliai and Dannell Ellerbe are both listed as probable.

You want your guys ready but the Dolphins wrap up Sunday with a one week break as they head into the bye week.  Sitting an injured Wake may be a smart move in order to not aggravate the injury.  The Dolphins face division rival Buffalo two weeks later.

The Ravens could be without WR Jacoby Jones as well as CB Lardarius Webb and WR Marlon Brown.  DE Terrence Cody, Center Ryan Jensen are “doubtful”

The Ravens pulled off a trade earlier this week for LT Eugene Monroe who was with the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Ravens HC John Harbaugh said that Monroe could play if he can get up to speed.  Expect him to play as the Ravens offensive line has been having issues blocking.

I dont think they should sit wake because i think this is a key game. But, maybe they could play him on a limited basis, like switch his and dion jordan’s roles for the night. That could be interesting.

Bill, I’m not sure I agree… If Wake is a “maybe,” only dress him and use if absolutely necessary. After the bye, Miami still has every single divisional game in the AFC east remaining.. Far more critical for those
