The Miami Dolphins lost a member of their practice squad and at a position they could really ill afford to lose. Wide-receiver. The Dolphins entered the 2013 season with only four WR’s on the fifty-three man roster. Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline, Brandon Gibson, and Rishard Mathews. Most felt the team would keep five.
The Dolphins brought back Marvin McNutt a player they claimed off waivers from the Eagles. McNutt looked solid in pre-season and his addition to the practice squad was a good sign. Yesterday McNutt was poached off the teams squad by the Carolina Panthers. To replace McNutt, the Dolphins added today WR Ryan Spadola formerly of the NY Jets. Spadola had a very solid pre-season and was a player many of the fans did not want to see released.
While the loss of McNutt is far from earth shattering he possessed a nice skill set that could have seen an active 53 future without being an injury replacement.
