The Miami Dolphins have waived DT Marvin Austin, according to Omar Kelly’s twitter feed.

Austin appeared in two games for the Dolphins and accumulated one tackle.

The news is breaking, therefore it’s too early to speculate what exactly GM Jeff Ireland and his coaching staff have up their sleeve. If I had to guess it would be to make room on the 53-man roster for a fullback, possibly a guy that I pointed out earlier today in FB Michael Robinson?

More to come.

I think Miami will sign an offensive lineman. Maybe a tackle to take over Clabo’s spot.

That’d be nice but there is absolutely NOTHING out there unfortunately that would be an upgrade. Only possibility I could see would be G Brandon Moore, but the team would have to lure him out of retirement.
