Dolphins Heading Back to the UK

The NFL announced previously that the Raiders would host a home game in London as the NFL expands the UK game selection to three games “across the pond” in 2014.  Today the NFL announced the opponents, and the Raiders drew the Miami Dolphins as part of the international series of games.  Having the Raiders host the Dolphins, the NFL will get a chance to put two of their exciting, young, next generation quarterbacks in Ryan Tannehill and Terrell Pryor on an international stage.

Miami has played on the international stage before, and this matchup should benefit the Dolphins at a high level.  Moving the game to London removes the homefield advantage for one of the Dolphins away games.  Additionally, the time difference is far greater for the Raiders than it will be for Miami.  The front office for the Dolphins has had opportunity to experience the travel to the UK for the team before, giving them a logistical advantage in knowing how to handle the trip.
