Dolphins Ross Will Speak At 6

The owner of the Miami Dolphins has been quiet.  Reserved?  Likely.  Stressed?  Of course.  Tonight he will speak for the first time since the media onslaught on Davie.  Stephen Ross will be left with extremely tough decisions at the end of the year…if you believe the local media who swear Jeff Ireland and Joe Philbin could/likely lose their jobs.  Ross won’t discuss their futures tonight any more than he will discuss the futures of Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito.  I can however tell you what he will discuss.

Ross is going to, and rightfully so, defer judgement until after the 3rd party investigation.  He will tell the reporters that he reached out to Jonathan Martin, assured him that the work environment would change for the better, and that he is continued contact with the NFL concerning the investigation.  He will tell the listeners and the reporters that he is embarrassed by the comments, does not want that kind of atmosphere, tell you that the Miami Dolphins are not a racial divided organization or one that condones that type of behavior.

He will also tell them that the Miami Dolphins locker room will not be a harbinger of bullying or bullies.

In other words, he is going to give the right words to the tough questions and hold out of the truth.  Regardless of what that truth may be.  It won’t be popular but it is the only way to go about making any statement…formal or informal…right now.
