Dolphins Lose Yeatman To ACL

The Miami Dolphins offensive line has been mired in horrible play.  It appeared that the addition of a sixth lineman was going to help but that sixth lineman, converted TE Will Yeatman is now on the IR.  It was learned today that Yeatman has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season.  The Dolphins will almost certainly have to go to the ultra thin free agent pool for his replacement.

The fact that the Dolphins are turning or at least will turn to the free agent market speaks volumes towards their opinion of 3rd round pick Dallas Thomas.  Thomas has made no impact on the field as he frankly hasn’t seen it.  It doesn’t say much when a rookie can’t break into the lineup for a unit that is this bad.  Losses of Jonathan Martin, Richie Incognito, and now Yeatman and still Thomas can’t get on the field.

The Dolphins play San Diego on Sunday in a game that could have serious playoff implications.  Even with seven games remaining.
