Dolphins OL Coach Jim Turner Will Be Questioned

The Miami Dolphins will meet with the NFL’s outside investigator Ted Wells this week.  We know that players will be questioned and we are also aware that coaches will be as well.  Dolphins offensive line coach Jim Turner will be one of those who will be spoken with.

Turner has a “military” sense of humor that is befitting of most locker rooms…at least how locker rooms used to be.  Turner was seen on last years HBO Hard Knocks as being a little over the top when it came to his sense of humor.  He told a kid prior to a pre-season game that the cheerleaders were “totally checking you out” and in one episode he showed a Dolphins cheerleader video to the Olineman and quipped that the desk tops were raised when he came back into the room.

Is there anything wrong with that?  No.  It’s a locker room full of men but it is that kind of behavior that may paint Turner into a corner as the coach who might have known what was going on.  It is also not out of the question that Turner may not have taken the issue to a higher authority.  Could Turner have been the one that told Richie Incognito to “toughen up” Jonathan Martin?

Speaking of Incognito his grievance filed against the Dolphins takes a sharp stab at Jonathan Martin and his agent when he outlines in that grievance that it was in fact Martin and his agent and the way they have handled this publicly as “conduct detrimental to the team”.  This fight should get more interesting but it’s obvious Incognito has little friendship remaining with Martin.
