The Miami Dolphins will host the surging Carolina Panthers for what could be their last stand for a playoff spot this season. The Dolphins, at 5-5, are tied with the New York Jets at the head of a pack of teams vying for the No. 6 seed in the AFC. The Panthers are coming off a huge Monday night win over the AFC East-leading New England Patriots and could be Miami’s toughest matchup of the season.
Miami Dolphins tickets against Carolina currently have an average price of $87 and a get-in price of just $4. The average price is down 18% over the past week, despite the Dolphins getting a home win against the San Diego Chargers last week. The price is also 38% below the average Dolphins home game and 24% below the average cost of Carolina Panthers tickets on the road this season.
Despite all of the off-field happenings that may have turned some fans off from the Dolphins this season, Miami still has a chance to make the playoffs. The race for the No. 6 seed in the AFC is wide open and the Dolphins are currently ahead of the pack. That pack includes the Jets, Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans and the Chargers. The Dolphins are tied with the Jets and a game ahead of the rest of that pack of teams who have a record of 4-6. With a win, Miami will remain ahead of the group, but a loss could send them right back to the pack. The Panthers, though, are riding a six-game win streak and have been playing like one of the most dominant teams in the NFL. Miami is 3-2 at home this season and will hope they can slow this Carolina team down.
