It’s been years since the Miami Dolphins have had an excellent prospect lined up at the game’s most important position.
A laundry list of average joes, guys making ordinary throws, draft day busts, and free agency failures have led the Dolphins to this point, where it looks like they finally hit the jackpot.
When it comes to a pure talent evaluation standpoint, the Dolphins have never lined up anyone under center with the physical tools that Ryan Tannehill possesses. Big, strong, and athletic with a rifle arm, Tannehill has all the tools needed to be special in this league.
The question that’s followed him since entering the league, frequently asked by fans and analysts alike, has been whether or not Tannehill could develop the intangibles needed to be an elite QB, separating himself from the average joes.
Would he be able to stay away from turnovers, throw the ball away at appropriate times, make the clutch throws when the team needs him to, be the calming force in the huddle to lead his team to victory?
So far, through only his 2nd season as a pro, Ryan Tannehill is answering the bell for his team. Tannehill got the Fins off to a hot start, weathered the storm when they started losing, assumed leadership in the locker room during the Bully Gate scandal and as of late, ramped up his play to the point where he’s playing dominant football, giving his team the confidence that they can beat anyone in the league on any given Sunday.
Over a decade of searching for the answer at QB, the Miami Dolphins seem to have finally found their man and he has them POISED to make NOISE in the playoffs as one of the NFL’s hottest teams. All the Dolphins need to to do is ride their momentum and finish the season hotter than they started it. FINS UP!
