Happy New Year Dolphins’ Fans

While Stephen Ross mulls over the future of his GM and HC, the rest of us can take a deep breath, relax, and fix the holes we created in our TV on Sunday.  Tonight  be safe and smart.  Don’t drink and drive and don’t let your friends either.

From all of us here at PhinPhanatic.com, Happy New Year!

Ireland has really not managed the O-Line, RB talent or WR talent very well.
I’d be scared to throw the ball to Wallace who can’t be bothered to slap down a ball he isn’t catching. I think Philbin is okay, but Sherman wasn’t sharp enough to design angled pass routes that are safer for Tannehill & Wallace.

We also saw the Defensive changes at LB & Jordan not produce. That was a career risk move by Ireland to risk our team’s drafts & move up for Jordan & it didn’t work.
Jordan might pan out later but he might not.
We really needed O-Line, it was available, and everyone had to deal with Ireland’s choice. That draft pick reminded me of the Odrick pick where Ireland also “outsmarted” the fans.
The new cheaper kicker lost 2 games for us.

The running backs & O-Line were a joke this year…simply a lack of talent.
Ireland has had years to address Rt Guard & the best he’s found was an overweight guy that should’ve been beaten out by now. Incognito was a risk & someone else’s draft pick. Martin is a bust. Clabo is a FA that needs to be upgraded. Pouncey is really just a copycat pick- which is OK, but not a serious credit to Ireland’s ability.
Dez Bryant seems to be catching the ball well though.

I’ve been a Dolphin’s Fan since 1984. I love my team. However, I have little confidence in Ireland to improve the team much. It’s possible Philbin could improve but I don’t feel strongly about him. I believe we can do better than Ireland & Sherma. I hope Ross can bring back some confidence because I’m not feeling any.

The longer Ross takes to make a decision thee more worried I get, many times Philbin looks lost and out of sorts, like a deer in the headlights. If Sherman and Ireland return we can expect the same next year, this will be a defining season for Tannehill as well, to many fumbles and missed passes to open receivers to be a starting QB.
