Wells’ Report Shows Issues In Dolphins Locker room

In the he said, she said battle between Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito there was certainly not going to be a winner.  Everyone would lose something.  For more than four months special investigator Ted Wells has been compiling his report from the interviews from everyone.  Today the “Wells’ Report” has been released.  A 144 page document that basically show major dysfunction in the Miami Dolphins locker room.  Richie Incognito is painted as the ringmaster.

Incognito is not the only one.  He is the worst of it.  Pro-Bowl guard Mike Pouncey appears or is painted as his right hand man while John Jerry makes up the trio.  The un-named lineman we have so often heard of but didn’t know about apparently is guard Nate Garner who, like Martin, suffered several verbal attacks from the “trio”.  What happens next is anyone’s guess but fines could be coming for the team and I wouldn’t rule out the league doling out other penalties as well.

The long rumored firing of offensive line coach Jim Turner is now on the front of the platter.  The Dolphins are going over the report and their options.  Yes it’s that bad.  Turner apparently participated in calling another offensive lineman gay and according to the report bought the lineman a male sex doll for Christmas.  While he has not been fired yet, he likely will be.

The entire document is complex and I will admit to not having read it just yet…but I will shortly.  We will have more of this as it unfolds so check back often as I decipher the document.  The Dolphins are waiting to make any statements or decisions until the entire document is digested.  One thing is for certain, Martin is likely going to seek legal action against the team at some point.

Incognito is now officially gone. And Martin won’t be back either. The question is, will Miami trade pro bowl center Pouncey? Jerry will probably be cut also. He’s not a good enough lineman to keep around, especially since he pulled this stunt. Miami REALLY needs to draft Zach Martin in round 1. He’s a team captain in college and could bring some much needed leadership on the offensive line.
