The Miami Dolphins have added another WR to the crowded mix. After hosting former Tennessee Titans 3rd round pick Damien Williams, ESPN is reporting that Williams has been added to the teams roster on an $800,000 one year deal.
Williams has been been a bench player since entering the league in 2010. Last season he 15 passes for 178 yards. He could potentially add speed however to the Dolphins special teams. Williams runs a 4.5 40 and has played both outside and inside on the offense.
The Dolphins have a lot of WR talent on the roster including starters Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline. Returning from injury will be Armon Binns and Brandon Gibson who was having a very solid year until his injury early in 2013. In his place Rishard Mathews stepped up and played well if a little inconsistent throughout the year as a sophomore. The Dolphins have also recently added Michael Rios, Ryan Spadola, and Kevin Cone to the group.
Williams will compete for the 4th or 5th roster spot on the team. Last year the Dolphins entered the season with four wr’s.
