Anyone that follows this site regularly is aware of some of the great things that the DolFans NYC crew does each year – from the MetLife Takeover to their weekly gatherings to take over Slattery’s Midtown Pub. What many folks may not be aware of is the annual takeover that they stage for the NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall. If you’re looking for a great group of folks to go to the draft with, and sit amongst a sea of Dolphins fans, this is the opportunity. These guys and gals tend to gather a huge group to take over a section of Radio City Music Hall each year and make their presence felt – so why sit home and watch the draft when you can be there in person with them?
Given that Commissioner Goodell put out the word that there are several other cities pressing to host the draft each year going forward, this may possibly be the LAST opportunity to do so in NYC for a while. Day 2 and Day 3 of the event are relatively easy to get into, but for anyone looking to go to the draft on Day 1 you will actually need to wait in line with the group for a bit the night BEFORE the draft to obtain tickets, and then return in the morning. Also, we’ll be tracking this, and all other known events such as the MetLife Takeover, the events of large groups of DolFans attending both the Chicago and Jacksonville games and more via our “On The FinSide” and “DolFan Encounters” pages on Facebook, so be sure to like our pages there to stay up to date on all the information as it comes available.
