The NFL Draft is over for another year but the un-drafted players are now getting their due. The Dolphins opted to draft Billy Turner from North Dakota State and someday he may be blocking for his college QB once again. The Dolphins added Brock Jensen to the roster. If he can show he has some of the skills to make the NFL level he could become a practice squad player until the Dolphins decide on the futures of Matt Moore and Pat Devlin.
Turner isn’t the only player in the Dolphins draft class getting some love from his alma mater. The Dolphins added LSU DT Anthony Johnson to the roster. Jarvis Landry will see a familiar face from LSU practices.
The Dolphins added more line help offensively by signing interior lineman Tyler Larsen of Utah State. Larsen needs some time to develop but could find himself backing up Mike Pouncey. The team also added Evan Finkenberg Arizona State. Finkenberg is able to play both guard and tackle.
The Dolphins did continue to bring in help at the WR position signing two WR’s. Rantavious Wooten of Georgia and Ryan Lankford of Illinois. Both will need to make the roster on special teams as the Dolphins WR group is packed at the moment.
The Dolphins didn’t draft anyone from Florida this year but they still added a Gator. H-Back Gator Hoskins. They also added RB Damien Williams of Oklahoma. Both will need to impress quite a bit to make the practice squad.
Finally the Dolphins came back home and added a University of Miami product. DE/OLB Shayon Green. Green has similar traits to Jordan Tripp whom the Dolphins drafted but will find it difficult to make the teams roster.
The Dolphins have not officially announced their signings.
