Miami Dolphins fans, we are now 3 days away from offseason team activities (OTAs) and the Dolphins have recently reached deals with a couple of rookies. Reported Friday, the Dolphins had reached an agreement with their fourth round selection Walt Aikens, and also their 7th round selection Terrence Fede.
Both announcements were made Friday, as Fede’s signing was announced through the Miami Dolphin’s organization, whereas Aikens
announced his deal via Twitter.
Aikens, who spent three years as a cornerback for Liberty University, notched a total of 162 tackles with Liberty, and accumulated seven interceptions. Aikens is likely to come into training camp in a position battle with newly acquired cornerback Cortland Finnegan.
Fede, was the first Marist football player drafted to the NFL in school history. Fede started at defensive end with Marist, and accumulated 30.5 sacks in his 3 years with Marist.
The Dolphins have now signed five of their eight 2014 draft picks, including Jordan Tripp, Arthur Lynch, as well as Matt Hazel. The Dolphins are yet to reach a deal with their top 3 draft picks, Ja’waun James, Jarvis Landry, and Billy Turner.
