NFL Network tends to do their annual ranking of the top 100 players from the previous season. The Miami Dolphins have already had CB Brent Grimes and TE Charles Clay placed upon the list, but DE Cameron Wake comes in at 66.

Is 66 too low? Should Wake be higher on the list? Is it the correct placement? Should he be lower?

In this video, click here, NFL.com’s Mike Silver believes that 66 is way too low for a player of Wake’s caliber and should be ranked much higher. Wake jokingly suggests he will send Silver the money he owes him.

They also reveal that Wake is the 5th defensive end in the top 100 overall. Which brings us to the questions posted above. Is this too low/high or just right?

Last season, Wake played well. In 15 games he totaled 37 combined tackles (29 solo), 8.5 sacks, a game clinching sack-safety against the Cincinnati Bengals in over-time on Halloween (How could I forget!?), and 2 forced fumbles. Sure, the stat sheet says that this ranking is just about right, which in an unbiased way, I think it’s proper.

But, keep an eye on who exactly is ranked above him at his position. NFL.com did one thing right in ranking Wake ABOVE DE Jared Allen, but let’s see who is higher than Wake so we can make a proper judgement Dolfans.
