NFL Draft Moving From Radio City Music Hall

The NFL will not host their annual draft at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.  According to information obtained by ProFootballTalk.com the management of RCMH has told the NFL that their venue is not available next April or May.  Their loss.

There has been a lot of rumors of late about the NFL moving the draft to Chicago or Los Angeles or possibly another city all together…hey why not Charlotte, NC?  There is also still talk the draft could remain in N.Y. but hosted at Madison Square Garden.  Has the draft gotten so big that they will soon sell out arena’s?  Probably.

In addition to the location/venue change, there is a report that the NFL has asked about Wednesday night availability.  That would mean the NFL is seriously considering a move to Wednesdays for the first round, Thursday for the 2nd, Friday for the 3rd and likely 4th with the rest on Saturday.  It would be better if they abandoned the Saturday draft all together and wrapped up on Friday night…but what a bore rounds five through seven would be.

The NFL has a good thing going and as hard as others have tried, no one can match the NFL success of it’s off-season Super Bowl.  The NFL Draft is one of the most anticipated events on the NFL calendar.  It’s not surprising due to the only event that by the NFL that brings both NFL and college fans together for one singular event.  Where the NFL goes from here is unknown but the fact they are looking around says they have something in mind.

They need to move the draft BACK TO APRIL!!! I’m tired of the NFL messing around with everything… It’s bad enough with all the rule changes making our beloved game if football into flag football!!

No place better to throw a party than my home town of Las Vegas. All the amenities one could ask for. It would work perfectly.

Screw NY. Move the dfraft to Miami next year. Then when the Jets are on the clock we can spew our propoganda message on the ticker, like they did us this year. Example: “The Jets have not been to the playoffs since 2006!”, “Ranked 24th in first downs”, “Rex Ryan in the hot seat again”.

Give them a taste of their own sewer and rat infested medicine.
