The NFL has signed all but six of the players drafted in May’s NFL Draft. They include two 2nd round receivers taken by the Jaguars, Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson as well as three first round picks. Justin Gilbert, Taylor Lewan, and Domique Easley.
Then you drop to the third round and you realize that everyone drafted past the 61st pick has been signed except the number 67th. Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Billy Turner.
There is no news as to why the Dolphins have failed to get him under contract but you would think that with everyone around him signed he would have as well. The Dolphins signed Ja’Wuan James last week and had already locked up 2nd round pick Jarvis Landry. It’s unlikely that Turner won’t be signed by the time the teams training camp starts but it is odd that a third round pick is keeping the team from having all of their players signed. Somewhere, someone is asking for something or demanding something that the other party doesn’t like.
